Cenra and CommonWealth Magazine Hold 2026 CENRA AI Innovation Challenge
Connecting Four Healthcare Businesses to Empower the Next Generation of AI Innovators
Organized by Cenra and co-organized by CommonWealth Magazine, the 2026 CENRA AI Innovation Challenge held its final round and awards ceremony today (October 28) at the Chengchi University Public and Business Administration Education Center in Taipei. Centered on four of Cenra’s business areas—Cenra Pharma, Cenra Healthcare, Cenra Senior Care, and Cenra Animal Health—the competition attracted 187 young participants across 80 teams. By connecting real-world business scenarios with AI technologies, the challenge encouraged young innovators to develop creative solutions with practical business applications, demonstrating the next generation’s potential to leverage technology to address industry needs.
Registration for the 2026 CENRA AI Innovation Challenge opened in May to students from universities and colleges across Taiwan, as well as young people aged 30 and under. Submissions covered a wide range of areas, including pharmaceutical R&D, quality management, business operations, the animal health market, and senior care services, highlighting the diverse potential of AI applications across the healthcare industry. Entries were initially evaluated based on three criteria: relevance to the challenge theme (40%), innovation (30%), and practical feasibility and implementation value (30%). In early September, 10 teams were selected to advance to the final round. These teams then participated in a corporate mentorship program, engaging directly with mentors from Cenra Pharma, Cenra Healthcare, Cenra Senior Care, and Cenra Animal Health to gain deeper insights into industry needs and practical challenges, further strengthening the feasibility and real-world value of their proposals.
Ten teams presented their final projects at today’s event: Lion Engineer, “Graduating on Time, Then Going for 4 A.M. Beef Noodles” (準時畢業去吃凌晨4點牛肉麵), “A Dream Team of Pharmacists Turning Technology into Reality” (一群藥學家的夢想科技實現隊), Sales Brain, “Brother Chen’s Strongmen” (琛哥大力士), LLM Wiki Team (LLM Wiki隊), “Towards a Brighter Future in Senior Care” (銀向未來), “Business as Usual” (照常營業), DongDong KODA (懂動KODA), and “Grow Bigger and Stronger” (做大做強). Each team presented its proposed solutions and application concepts, followed by discussions with the judging panel. Their presentations showcased diverse approaches to cross-disciplinary problem-solving and AI innovation. The first prize was awarded to Team “Lion Engineer” from National Cheng Kung University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and Chinese Culture University. The second prize went to Team “Towards a Brighter Future in Senior Care” from Taipei Medical University, while the third prize was awarded to Team “LLM Wiki” from National Cheng Kung University and National Taiwan Ocean University.
Kenneth Wang, CEO & President of Cenra Inc., said, “AI technology is advancing rapidly.
