Cenra Invited to MOEA International Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Resilience Forum

Cenra Inc., CEO & President Kenneth Wang was invited to speak today at the International Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Resilience Forum, organized by the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Promotion Office (BPIPO) under Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). In recent years, the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, and shifts in global trade have prompted governments worldwide to reassess the security of essential medicines supply chains. Many countries are strengthening supply resilience through localized manufacturing, regional supply chain collaboration, and supportive public policies. While Taiwan possesses a well-established pharmaceutical industry and world-class manufacturing capabilities, challenges remain, including market size, reimbursement mechanisms, and reliance on certain critical raw materials. Strengthening supply autonomy through coordinated policies and industry collaboration will therefore be essential.

Mr. Wang emphasized that Taiwan can strengthen pharmaceutical supply chain resilience by enhancing its strategic role in the global supply network through three priorities: Protect, Connect, and Scale. Taiwan should safeguard the continuous supply of critical medicines through measures such as strategic inventory, qualified second sources, and reserved manufacturing capacity. It should also strengthen trusted international partnerships by building a more diversified, transparent, and reciprocal supply network. Finally, Taiwan should focus on areas where it has a right to compete, leveraging its Capability, Capacity, and Compliance to expand its global presence and reinforce its role as a trusted partner in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.

Amid the evolving global pharmaceutical supply chain landscape, strengthening supply chain resilience has become a key priority for the industry's sustainable development and the markets Cenra serves.
